Howls Moving Castle

Papercraft

New Papercraft for me @ 10:18 pm

I've been working on papercraft from Portal. I'm doing a video game room at CoreCon http://www.fargocorecon.org with a Portal theme, so that has been keeping me busy. I'm heading up to Manitoba Comic Con in October, and will be selling some smaller papercraft, probably in the Hako Style. I'll probably do a picture when I finish GlaDOS and the cake.

hey peo/po/
I havn't done any papercraft since finishing Howl's Castle. I have been Job Hunting and Moving so not alot of free time. I have worked on a Zelda from Ninjatoes but I havn't finished it. I took a big break a while back so I expect to get into it again later. The castle still amazes me and I say SEE THE MOVIE, it is one of my favorites.

I also made a dog for my Grandma's husband who was hurt in a horse riding accident. It didn't take as long as similar ones have in the past (I must be getting faster)

Update @ 06:36 pm

Kiki Is Done!
I used a Jiji 1/12th the size of my original (it was supposed to be the one I was giving away) and created the present texture and created the radio (by request, good thinking) from scratch. I wasn't happy with a plain broom so I changed the way it looked also.

Kiki's Delivery Service @ 12:25 am

I'm almost done with Kiki

LARGER 1\LARGER 2

I am modifying Majogirl by adding things and changing almost everything (textures, accessories ect.)

LARGER 1

I'm trying to find a good size for Jiji, so a couple of co-workers and I made a Jiji Army

LARGER 1

Still unsure what size to use.

I found a really great Haku that I'll do instead of the Turnip (Spirited Away) though it is huge and will take 30-40 hours. I'll have to finish Howl's Caslte and Kiki First.

Ghibli @ 12:08 am

I'm trying to make 2 papercraft from each of the Ghibli Studio movies I have seen. I have 2 Howl's Castles, Totoro and Catbus, No-Face (need another from Spirited away), and Kiki with small Jiji and a large Jiji (made these myself)

No-Face is based on the one I found at http://paperkraft.blogspot.com/ but I removed the lines to make it look nicer. This is the one from his/her site

LARGER 1\LARGER 2

Jiji is based on a design for Luna found at http://www.kinmoku.net/tsukutte/ . I retextured it and modifed some parts to be more Jijish. It is going to be with the Kiki I'm making.

Howl's Castle (my current Icon) is coming along nicely and should be done by the end of the week. I want to make my kiki after that.
I also want to make:
Forest Spirit and tiki guy's (princess mononoke)
Turnip Spirit or anything else (Spirited Away)
The Baron and girl (cat returns)

The Day's Successes Lite @ 11:03 am

I thought I'd share my experience for the best day EVER!
It started out when I decided that I couldn't wait for a Lite Color that isn't even confirmed so I set out to get my lite. I first needed a reason to use my best buy service plan to exchange my blue ds (previously exchanged from day one silver) since my wife already had a dead pixel on her teal ds (nintendogs best friends edition also an upgrade from day one).
Incriminating Evidence behind the cut )
